Madinah is a premium theme for Quran CMS: warm ivory pages, deep navy and gold, framed ayahs and surah banners with the feel of a printed mushaf, and classic serif headings — in light and in dark mode.
It is a premium theme. Its licence code is theme-madinah.
Who it is for
Sites that want a calm, classic, scholarly look instead of the bright emerald of the default theme: Quran academies, madrasas, tafsir and seerah sites, and mosques whose own colours are navy and gold.
What changes
Madinah is laid over the default theme (Noor). Every page, plugin and feature works exactly as before; only the look changes. Anything the theme does not restyle keeps the default look.
- The page — an ivory background with a faint dotted texture (or plain white, if you prefer), cream cards and soft warm shadows.
- Header and top bar — a navy header with a gold rule under it; the top bar with the dates and the next prayer in a deeper navy.
- The home banner — navy with a soft gold glow, the bismillah in gold and a thin gold frame.
- Surahs and ayahs — surah banners framed in a double gold border, each ayah in a thin frame like the page of a mushaf, the ayah being recited highlighted in gold.
- Headings — Cormorant Garamond for English and Noto Serif Bengali for Bengali.
- Prayer times — the "now" card in navy, the current prayer outlined in gold.
- Footer — deep navy with a gold top border.
- Phones — the app-style bottom bar in navy and gold.
- Dark mode — its own night palette of deep blue, parchment-coloured text and brighter gold. Visitors switch with the moon button as usual; Settings → General → Colour mode sets where the site starts.
Getting it
- Appearance → Themes shows Madinah with a Locked flag and the line Needs the Madinah add-on in your licence until your licence includes it. Unlock opens it in the store at license.faruk.bd.
- Theme keys bought on their own start with
QCMP-. They are fitted to your site automatically at the next licence check; to use one straight away, add it under Admin → License → Plugin & theme keys, or press Check now on that page. - Once it is in your licence the lock disappears and the buttons Activate, Preview and Customise appear.
If a licence that included Madinah lapses, the site goes back to the default theme until it is renewed; your Madinah settings are kept.
Try before switching
Preview shows the whole site in Madinah to you alone, while visitors still see the current theme. A line on the Themes page says You are previewing Madinah — only you see it, with Stop the preview. When you are happy, press Activate.
Customise
Appearance → Themes → Madinah → Customise:
| Option | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Navy (main colour) | #1c3350 | The header, banners, buttons and links |
| Gold | #b08a3c | Frames, rules, highlights |
| Page background | Ivory paper | Ivory paper or Plain white |
| Mushaf-style frames around ayahs and banners | On | Off gives clean cards without frames |
| Classic serif headings | On | Off uses the site's normal heading font |
| Show the top bar (dates, next prayer) | On | |
| Show the app-style bottom bar on phones | On |
Press Save, then View the site. The colours you choose are used in light mode; dark mode keeps its own night palette so the text always stays readable.
Things to know
- The logo, menus, footer text and home page sections are not part of the theme — they stay as you set them under Appearance, whichever theme is active. The header is navy, so choose a Logo with light or gold lettering under Appearance → Header & menus (without an uploaded logo, the built-in mark and the site name are used and read well).
- Your fonts under Appearance → Fonts still apply to body text and the Quran; Madinah only changes the headings (and only while Classic serif headings is on).
- The mosque screen (
/prayer-times/screen) has its own ten designs and is not affected by the site theme. - Switching back is one click: Activate on Noor (or any other theme). Nothing is lost.
