A module is the code that reads one site: the folder modules/<slug>/ with module.json, module.php and icon.svg. A platform is the row in your panel that says how your site uses that module: on or off, domains, colour, order, landing page and proxy.

Admin → Modules
Admin → Modules shows a card per module with its version, kind and domains, and how many are on. The switch turns a module on or off; off means its tile, its landing-page link and its links are gone from the site. The ⋮ menu holds Settings (the platform row), Test a link and Delete.
- Upload a module: choose a ZIP with one folder that holds
module.json,module.phpandicon.svg, then Install module. It is switched on at once. - Update: upload the newer ZIP of the same module. The folder is replaced; the platform row with your settings stays.
- Delete removes the files and the platform row.
A module folder copied in by FTP is picked up on the next page view. A licence can switch uploads off; the panel then says so.
Admin → Platforms
The list shows the colour, Name, Domains, Type, Enabled, Proxy, New badge and Order. Editing a platform gives:
- Name and Module (which module handles it).
- Domains: host names, separated with commas. Sub-domains match by themselves.
- Type, Brand colour and Sort order (lower numbers first, then by name).
- Landing page: the page the platform tile on the home page opens.
- Enabled: a link of a disabled platform gets Downloads from this platform are currently disabled.
- Go through a proxy: Never, When the server is refused (automatic) or Always through a proxy (stored as
use_proxy0, 2 and 1). YouTube starts on "When the server is refused". See Proxies and routes.
A module may name the day it joined the script; one uploaded without a date is new from the day it arrives. Its platform then carries a New badge on the site for 30 days, and you get a notice in the bell. The switch in the New badge column turns it on or off.
Test a link
Platforms → Test a link runs the module on the server without the cache and shows the title, picture and a table of every format, with the Raw JSON below.
What was tried lists each route and its answer, for example Route "this server": refused (...) and then Route "proxy socks5://...": worked (840 ms). Start at this server again forgets that the server was refused a moment ago; Pretend this server is refused tries out the proxy pool. Copy these lines when you ask for support.
Landing pages
Every platform that ships has a page of its own: under Content → Pages these have the type Landing page and show the download form. The Identifier is the slug of the platform (youtube), the address is set per language (/en/youtube-video-downloader). Six more ship: youtube-shorts, youtube-playlist, facebook-reels, instagram-reels, youtube-private and facebook-private. Show supported platforms on landing pages (Settings → Appearance) adds the platform grid under them.
What a platform is read for
A module lists the kinds it reads in module.json ("supports"): videos, shorts, reels, stories, spotlight, clips, live, playlists, music, audio, podcasts, photos, albums, gifs. The tile shows the extras under the name ("Shorts · Playlists · Music"), a landing page gets a row What you can download from YouTube, and the home page gets the band Shorts, Reels, Stories and playlists work too with chips such as "YouTube Shorts". A chip opens the special page when there is one (youtube-shorts). Switch the band with Show "Shorts, Reels, Stories and playlists work too" (Settings → Appearance).
Playlists
The link of a YouTube playlist opens /<language>/playlist/<id>: every video with a download button, tick boxes, a size chooser and Download selected. A video opened from inside a list gets the line This video is part of a playlist on its results page.
Settings → Downloads: Who may open a playlist (access_playlist), Videos listed of one playlist (playlist_max_items, 1 to 2000, default 200), Of these, a visitor who is not signed in gets (playlist_guest_items, 0 = all) and Pause between two downloads of a playlist (playlist_gap_seconds, default 3).
AIO Video sites and unknown sites
The AIOVideo module reads aiovideo.com and any site that runs the AIO Video script. List such domains, one per line, in Sites that run the AIO Video script (aiovideo_sites). With Recognise AIO Video sites by themselves (aiovideo_detect) a link from a site that no platform lists is fetched once; when it is an AIO Video site, the link works and the domain joins the list. An unknown site is not looked at again for six hours. This look at unknown sites (detect_unknown_sites) is on and has no switch in the panel.
Platform cookies
Settings → Platform Cookies holds the Cookie header of a signed-in browser for X (Twitter) (must contain auth_token and ct0), Facebook, Instagram and YouTube (only for age-restricted videos). These are your cookies, used for every visitor. Visitors' own cookies for private videos are something else: see Member accounts.
Blocked URLs
Downloads → Blocked URLs refuses links for takedowns or abuse. A rule has a Pattern, a Match type (URL contains for a video id, Whole domain, or Regular expression) and a Reason only you see. The visitor reads This link cannot be downloaded.
The download engine
Settings → Downloads:
- Fast downloads (
download_fast, on): files are read in pieces, several at a time, so YouTube comes at full speed and a broken download can be continued (browser, IDM). - Connections per download (
download_connections, 1 to 16, default 4) and Size of one piece (download_piece_mb, 1 to 10 MB, default 4). One download holds up to connections × piece in memory. - Maximum file size (
max_download_size, e.g.2GB, 0 = unlimited). - Offer "video with audio" for split streams: HD video and sound joined into one MP4, without FFmpeg.
- Result cache (seconds): how long a fetched link is reused (default 3600).
The results page: Download options layout (Buttons (cards) or Compact table), Show "quick download" buttons, Collapse "video without sound", share buttons, thumbnail, Hidden formats and Filename suffix.
Limits live under Settings → Quotas & Limits: Fetch requests per minute per IP (default 30), Downloads per day per IP and Bandwidth per day per IP (0 = unlimited). Members have their own daily number in Settings → Users.
