The Discount & Coupon addon lets you run a promotion without touching the price list. You make a code, decide who may use it, how much it takes off and for how long, and apply it on a dealer invoice. Every use is recorded against the code, so afterwards you know what the campaign cost you.
It is for a centre that sells to dealers and sub-dealers: an Eid offer, a launch price for a new model, a thank-you to one good dealer.
Switching it on
Discount & Coupon is free and comes with the script. Open Admin → Addons and press Enable on the Discount & Coupon Addons card.

While at least one code is usable, the dashboard shows Live coupons with the number usable right now.
Settings

Making a code
Discounts & Coupons → + Create a code.

The list shows each code with its Discount, Who, Valid dates, how many times it was Used, the discount Given and its Status. Edit, Disable / Enable and the delete button work from the list. Opening a code shows Where it has been used: when, by which dealer, on which invoice and for how much. The top of the screen counts Codes, Live now, Times used and Discount given.
Using a code on an invoice
- Make a dealer invoice as usual (see Invoices).
- Type the code into Coupon code and save.
- The code is checked against the invoice subtotal and the dealer. If it fits, the panel says, for example, Coupon EID10 applied — Tk 500.00 off. and the discount is on the invoice.
- If it does not fit, the invoice is saved without it, and the message says why.
A code is refused when it is not found, not active, not valid yet, expired or used up; when the invoice is below the minimum; when it belongs to a different dealer, or is for dealers only or sub-dealers only and the buyer is the other kind; or when this dealer has already used it the maximum number of times.
A percentage discount is worked out on the subtotal and stopped at the cap, and a discount can never be more than the invoice itself.
What the dealer sees
My Discounts lists the codes Available to you, with What you get, the Conditions and when each one Ends, and a Copy code button. Below is Discounts you have had, invoice by invoice. The top counts Codes you can use and what they have Saved so far.
The dealer tells you the code when ordering, or writes it in a ticket, and your staff put it on the invoice.
A typical promotion
- Create
PUJA15: Percentage off, 15, Dealers only, Cap the discount at Tk 3,000, Uses per dealer 2, valid for the festival fortnight. - Tell your dealers with a notification or a campaign from Notifications & Marketing.
- Dealers see it under My Discounts and quote it when ordering.
- After the fortnight, open the code and read Where it has been used to see what it cost and who took it up.
Tips
- Use One dealer for a private arrangement, so other dealers never see it.
- Make the code Inactive rather than deleting it when a promotion ends; the record of what it gave away stays.
- Coupons are for dealer invoices. Prices for everybody belong in the Catalogue price list.
